The entrance to the Laboratory is directly in front of you when you first reach this floor and It contains a large number of Clocktower Patients. Coming out of it, you'll find a slope going down straight ahead, and a platform holding three acid-tossing Patients , on the right. Once you've killed enough of them to finish the fight you'll automatically get the Astral Clocktower Key, and the Lumenwood Garden lamp will appear at the back of the area near the locked door. Trading blows is not the best option unless you can be sure to stunlock him, and even then, he dodges quite frequently. The second room is hidden behind some medical equipment. One more thing the player can find on the second floor is another passive Clocktower Patient on a Balcony digging through some dirt. Turn around and pick up the Decorative Old Hunter Garb and Trousers off of the corpse that was near the second Brain Patient, and then open the door. Head back into the Hunter's Dream to spend your hard earned blood echoes. The Heads are not initially hostile, but once you pick up the Enlarged Head Attire at the back of the room they will all start attacking. Yamamura the Wanderer Confederate : In plain view immediately to the right of the boss room entrance. Just go down the furthest staircase and one will find a Bound Clocktower Patient and an item, this item being the Loch Shield. There is a Carrion Crow that will attack you from a distance, and another 2 guarding a chest with a Finestrike Damp Blood Gem 5 inside. After killing that enemy, follow the stairs up and start running along the balcony until you come to a ledge with an item on it; you can drop down from the ledge onto the landing below to reach Floor 4 - East Side if you wish. The main thing that makes this room problematic are the enemies on the mezzanine throwing acid bottles down at you. Kill him, and head up the ladder. Dispose of them, then head up the staircase on the right-hand side, first. He's quite similar to his smaller brethren however, is larger in size and that comes with more health and more damage. Your only way forward at this time is to head up the large wooden staircase, but be careful as you approach the landing, because you'll encounter some hostile Clocktower Patients. Lumenwood Garden. The third floor will have a single Church Servant on it and a naked Clocktower Patient. After doing this, head back down and as you see the corridor you came in from from the ladder , turn right instead, and head down the ladder here. Go to where she was on the platform and talk to the Enlarged Head. Just outside the room there's a ledge you can drop from to reach a landing on the stairs below. After that, go into the room on this floor and kill the Enlarged Heads that are passive. At the bottom you'll find four regular Patients in your immediate vicinity. Two Labyrinth Rats also patrol along the beams, so be very careful if you attempt to fight them on the narrow sections. Once they've been killed, you can either take the stairs on the right to reach Floor 2 - West Side, or the stairs on the left if you want to go to Floor 3 - East Side. Afterwards, prepare to deal with 2 Brain Patients, because one of them is hiding behind the bookcase to the right of the crouching patient. Once the elevator is up, go down it. Now, go back to Laboratory 5, and open the door. Going the other way you'll find a Carrion Crow sitting on the end of a beam, and when you approach it, it will fly down to the ledge below as if showing you the path to take. Descend it and then head down the steps. That is the main key to this bossfight: continue to dodge her attacks. Begin climbing the staircase in front of you, and immediately launch into a sprint, running all the way up onto the next landing to avoid the hail of fire from the Wheelchair Mob 's Gatling Gun. It's best to back off and let your Frenzy levels go back down. Before she flies all the way up, you can hit her a few times, like before. Pick up the 5 Blood Vials in the room, and head into the area to the left, the room to the right comes from the ladder earlier in the dark room. After picking it up, turn around, and head for the large window. The final enemy in this part of the room will usually detect you during this process. Blue Elixir x1. Research Hall Walkthrough Welcome to the Hall Upon finishing the cutscene where you are shown riding up the elevator from the Surgery Altar , you will find yourself in a darker area, with a lamp just ahead to your left. The main thing about this bossfight is you need to abuse the fact that there is only one Living Failure at the start of the fight. Visit the Hunter's Dream if you need to, then head back up the elevator into the room with the wheelchair enemies. Carrion Crow. There's a line between challenging and infuriatingly annoying, and The Old Hunters crosses that line frequently. Doing that will usually alert the other enemies to your presence, so be ready to evade towards the other acid-thrower and take it out quickly, before another Patient approaches. All of their attacks inflict Frenzy buildup, so if you get hit even once or twice. Sign In Help Sign Out. Take the staircase up to the platform, and then from there, take the next staircase on the right up to the boss door, where you will hear a patient lamenting to Lady Maria.
Kill it for 2 Blood Stone Chunks. Go back to the Brain Patient and pick up the item to the right of him, in the middle of the gray pool near the pillar. Go back to that large staircase and begin your ascent. For now, you can either let the Brain Patients move towards it or attack the one closest to us. There should be another walking down from the stairs to our left, so be careful, they can hit quite hard with some of their attacks. They also have a running attack where they swipe their hands at you while they move, around 6 swipes at a time, so be wary of that. Another two Brain Patients will move down from the right side of the stairs, where Patient Room Floor 2 is, so deal with them as well. This will lead us towards the Laboratory Floor 3. Hence, we have the Patient Room Floor number 2, meaning that this floor is the second floor on the left side of the research hall. Trigger it, back off, and continue on. This will notify the Church Servant on the platform, but after a few seconds he will turn back around to his original position. You can avoid the trap entirely if you wish but this is the best way of going about it to be safe. There is another passive Brain Patient at the end of the hall if you want to see what it says, but nothing else noteworthy. Open the door to Laboratory 3, and walk inside slowly. To the very left of you there will be a Wheelchair Mob that uses the Rosmarinas. You can probably kill the first one before the second one will fire at you, and then deal with him easily enough afterwards. Pick up the 6 Beast Blood Pellets on the corpse at the end of the room, near the opening in the floor on the left side of the room, then turn around and operate the device on the left side of the room. Once the elevator is up, go down it. Open the door that leads to the ground floor of the Research hall on the right side of the room, and then go back up the elevator. Back in Laboratory 3; go down that opening in the floor using the ladder. These enemies can jump in the air and lunge at you, so be careful. One of them is guarding the door area, while another is waiting to the right of the stairs. You can jump down from the balcony above the second one to defeat it, and the first will not attack you. Go ahead and do that, then deal with the other one. Turn around and pick up the Decorative Old Hunter Garb and Trousers off of the corpse that was near the second Brain Patient, and then open the door. Kill it, and then pick up the Frenzied Coldblood 9 off of the corpse. Head back up the ladder, back down the elevator, and head there from the room with Adeline inside. Afterwards, prepare to deal with 2 Brain Patients, because one of them is hiding behind the bookcase to the right of the crouching patient. Then, roll through the wheelchairs to the right to find yourself in a dark room. There are around 3 Brain Patients on the balcony area in the upper left area, which 2 of these will throw these white arcane bottles at you which explode and deal damage. Instead of going straight for that Brain Patient, go under the balcony area and you will find two Brain Patients at the end which will aggro on you from a distance, one of which will throw these same bottles. If you want to fight them, you can, but it is okay to ignore them. This will let you fight him without the annoying ranged attacks from the upper Brain Patients. Then, turn around and go into the room that is in front of the stairs, and up the ladder in that room. He hits hard, and he hits many times, but his range is quite small considering the room size and you can easily back off and just parry him twice to defeat him. Pick up the 5 Blood Vials in the room, and head into the area to the left, the room to the right comes from the ladder earlier in the dark room. Walk up a bit towards the open balcony area and 2 more Brain Patients will walk out of a room at the end of the corridor and die to the same Wheelchair mob. Pick up the 2 Antidotes on the corpse hanging off of the balcony, and then go to the room at the end. Now, go down the stairs to the Laboratory Floor 5, and take note of the door straight ahead. Instead, go right and be careful, as there is another one of those bookcase traps up ahead. Once you trigger it and are safe, kill the Wheelchair Mob and then continue onwards. There are a total of 3 in the area. At the end of the corridor, you can find 4 Blue Elixirs , but there is another bookcase trap so be careful of that. After that, go into the room on this floor and kill the Enlarged Heads that are passive. As you leave, be careful, as another Enlarged Head is hanging from top of the doorway. Now, go back to Laboratory 5, and open the door. There are only 3 enemies on this floor: 2 Brain Patients on the stairway, and another nun hunter with the threaded cane.
Once you're back, head back to Adeline's room. Once they are defeated, head up to the small landing, where you will encounter more patients. Maria can quickly cover a lot of ground with her attacks, but you can use this to your advantage in the early phase of the fight because quickstepping forward and to the side slightly will evade a great deal of her attacks. After climbing the ladder from Floor 2 - West Side to Floor 4 - West Side, examine the corpse near the small flight of stairs leading up. Move back away from the pillar again before going down and hugging the back wall until you're behind the Patient, and then once again use a charged R2 and follow-up to kill it quickly. Once there, run around the balcony to the Laboratory and use the elevator to go down to Floor 3. Another two Brain Patients will move down from the right side of the stairs, where Patient Room Floor 2 is, so deal with them as well. Clocktower Patient Acid Bottles. The corpse on the end of the walkway opposite the door to the balcony on Floor 2 - East Side. Turn around and head back up the stairs, and this time, take the other staircase downward, but be careful, as there some naked patients at the bottom, and the staircase has no railing. As soon as that cutscene is over the fight with Lady Maria will begin, so make sure you're ready beforehand. A corpse on the platform on Floor 5, following the walkway from the elevator all the way around to the end of the opposite side. Avoid the final pressure pad trap on the way, and pick up the x1 Madman's Knowledge. Table of Contents. Brain Juices Flowing You'll find yourself back in the elevator room. Recovery Room Balcony : There's a Wandering Nightmare along the left side of this Balcony, so it's worth going that way first to kill It before It escapes. It is implied that the experiments that took place in this hall would culminate with the creation of the Celestial Emissary. Out on the balcony, deal with the enemy once again and take a right. At the top, head down the staircase on the right, you'll arrive at the same level as him. With the Celestial Dial in hand, approach the large clock face and hold it up when prompted to trigger the clock mechanism to turn. This shield is extremely handy, as it greatly reduces all non-physical damage. Continue forward to the end of the balcony and descend the steps to your right, but be careful, as there is an NPC Hunter here: An easy way to deal with him is to quickly run past him to the left, and around the middle of the platform, staying on the other side of the brain creature. The corpse slumped over the rafters where the crow jumps down in Resaerh Hall Rafters. Once he has been dealt with, turn your attention to the item on the far wall. Research Hall Walkthrough Welcome to the Hall Upon finishing the cutscene where you are shown riding up the elevator from the Surgery Altar , you will find yourself in a darker area, with a lamp just ahead to your left. The player can encounter the Gatling Gun Wheelchair Huntsman that was gunning down the Clocktower Patients from before on this floor. There are also two doors on this floor, but at the moment you're unable to open either of them; the Laboratory Floor 1 door can only be opened from the other side, and the 1 st Floor Balcony door requires a key. From here, head toward the large staircase. After dealing with them, head over to the nearby corpse to pick up 6x Beast Blood Pellet. But fear not! Kill it to earn yourself another x2 Blood Stone Chunk. Sedative x3. As it starts to move, press against the left-hand wall, and start walking forward. This hidden research facility of the Healing Church , is dedicated to the knowledge and methods of attaining the transcendence of humanity through the creation of Kin. From what is gathered by its denizens - the many Clocktower Patients that did not become wildly violent as a result of going mad; including Saint Adeline - and Simon himself, who has guided players thus far, it appears that the many doctors experimented with the minds of these patients, imbibing them with water somehow. It is implied that the experiments that took place in this hall would culminate with the creation of the Celestial Emissary. The ground floor is composed mostly of the Lamp, the poisonous pit in the center of the rotating staircase contraption, the door to the Balcony, and the shortcut to other floors via the elevator in Saint Adeline 's room. One can find a passive Clocktower Patient looking for its "eyes" here. When the rotating staircase has been raised, a number of Bound Clocktower Patients will appear on the Ground Floor along with two more items, one of these items being a Lethal Damp Blood Gem. This area can only be accessed via the Balcony Key. This area seems to share a strong semblance to the Lumenflower Gardens. One can break through the large window in the area much like in a similar way how one breaks through the large window in the Lumenflower Gardens. Through this window, one will end up being on the upper layer of the Surgery Altar. Lastly, the player needs to jump over a small gap and open a chest for an item. The third floor will have a single Church Servant on it and a naked Clocktower Patient. On this floor one can find a passive Clocktower Patient begging for Lady Maria. Inside the third Laboratory room will be a trio of Wheelchair Huntsman , two wielding Pistols while one wields a Rosmarinus. One can access the first where Adeline can be found , second and fourth if the player has opened the short cut Laboratory rooms from the third room. The third room also serves as a get between to get to the different floors faster. The second floor can only be accessed from the third Laboratory room. The second floor will have about 3 Feral Clocktower Patients. Also, it's where the player can find the rest of the Decorative Old Hunter Set. One more thing the player can find on the second floor is another passive Clocktower Patient on a Balcony digging through some dirt. On this floor, one will encounter a surprisingly large number of Clocktower Patients. In the first room one will encounter a large number of Clocktower Patients, these Patients will roam in and out of the room. On the top layer of the room, there will be about 2 Clocktower Patients throwing Bottles of corrosive liquid at the player. The second room is hidden behind some medical equipment. In this room is a number of passive Clocktower Patients begging for help. Both rooms must be gone through to access the fourth floor. The main part of this floor can only be accessed through the first room. In the first room, the player will first encounter a Giant Clocktower Patient attacking seemly at random. When the player exits the first room they will witness a Gatling Gun Wheelchair Huntsman gunning down some Clocktower Patients. In the second room the player will be ambushed by an Infected Clocktower Patient there is also one normal Clocktower Patient just roaming around in the middle of the room. Also from the second room, the player can get to the top layer of the first room, from there, the player can find a Dirty Damp Blood Gem. This floor is important as the very first door will have the elevator shortcut that connects to the ground floor, and it's the only way to get up to the Rafters. The player can encounter the Gatling Gun Wheelchair Huntsman that was gunning down the Clocktower Patients from before on this floor. This is the only floor apart from the first floor that the player can access both the Laboratory Room and the Patient Room without needing to use the rotating staircase. The Laboratory Room just serves as an elevator shortcut, While Patient Room is a lot more interesting. Outside the Patient Room is a number of Headless Clock tower patients who will wander aimlessly around and aren't hostile to the player. Unlike the Headless Patients outside these ones are hostile and will attack the player. Also inside the Room is the Enlarged Head. Another thing to note is beware when leaving the room because a Head will attempt to ambush the player when leaving the room. These two Floors can mostly be accessed via going through a secret path from the elevator that leads to Laboratory Floor 5 to Laboratory Floor 3. Laboratory Floor 4 serves no purpose at first. But when the rotating staircase has been raised it serves as a get between to get to Patient Room Floor 3 and to get to the Loch Shield. Just go down the furthest staircase and one will find a Bound Clocktower Patient and an item, this item being the Loch Shield. After getting through the Patients the player will find 4 Quicksilver Bullets and more importantly the Underground Cell Key. The topmost part of the Research Hall and the most important part of it. To get to the Rafters the player must first get pass the Giant Clocktower Patient who is guarding the ladder to the Rafters. The Rafters unlike most of the Research Hall don't contain any hostile Clocktower Patients but it dose contains few animal type beasts, these animal beasts being Labyrinth Rats and Carrion Crows. Also on this floor, the player can find two passive Clocktower patients, The first one is banging his head against a wall while the other one is on a higher layer. Beware when leaving the Rafters when the device that controls the rotating staircase has been triggered. As when the player reaches the middle part of the rotating staircase a trio of naked Clocktower Patients will run up and attack the player. Also when leaving the player will notice a chest being guarded by a trio of Carrion Crows, this chest will have a Finestrike Damp Blood Gem. The item below can only be accessed via the rotating staircase and only when the rotating staircase has been raised. Bloodborne Wiki Explore. Blood Echoes Insight.
